On March 21st at 9:15am Eastern Daylight Time there was a shooting that occurred on London St at the cross road of Ellis St. in Brunswick Georgia, 31520. The shooting occurred during an attempted robbery. The victims of this crime were Antonio Santiago who was 13 months old and Sherry West, mother of Antonio Santiago. Antonio Santiago was shot in the face, with a single bullet from a .22 revolver. Sherry West was also injured by two bullets, one that grazed her ear and another that struck her leg. Antonio Santiago succumbed to his injury. Sherry West's injuries were non-life threatening. Sherry was treated at a local hospital for her injuries and was released the same day.
